South Floridians can rejoice, for winter is coming! That means some of the biggest beers of the season are getting ready to make their way into our beer cellars.
“Florida got its first cold chill (relatively speaking) this week and with it comes Warmer Winter Winter Warmer,” read the social media post by Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing. “This high gravity Florida winter ale measures in at 12% ABV this year.”
“This beer was brewed with American hops like Simcoe, Centennial, Columbus, Chinook, Amarillo and, fittingly, Glacier to help get you through the 2014-2015 Florida Winter! Packaging today, on draft & distribution soon.”
I’ve held on to a ’13 WWWW and plan to do the same this year in anticipation of a later 2015 three beer vertical. You never know how these types of beers turn out after a few seasons under their belt.
