Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. Could Come To Florida In 2016

Toppling Goliath Brewing Company may make their way to Florida this year, thanks to a partnership with the Brew Hub in Lakeland.

The Decorah, Iowa brewery, started in May of 2009 with Clark and Barb Lewey, have hinted that they will be attempting to make their way into the Sunshine State.

“Plans aren’t set in stone yet and we can’t commit but it would be safe to say … TGB is exploring plans to expand to Brew Hub’s home state in 2016,” a Brew Hub spokesperson told me.

The brewery made headlines last year for securing a deal with Brew Hub “to up production of its beers to about 15,000 barrels within the first 12 months,” according to USA Today. The brewery has some of their flagship beers brewed on site in Florida and shipped back up to Iowa. Maybe some of those cases will stick around.
